Meet Laurie
What do you love most about being part of Aspiriant?
We embrace learning, curiosity and a growth mindset. We value our people not just in words, but through meaningful investment in their development, well-being and careers.
What professional accomplishments are you most proud of?
I am proud to continue building and supporting a best-in-class employee experience that is integral to an exceptional client experience. I believe how we invest in our people directly influences how well we serve our clients.
What quality of yours makes you best suited to what you do?
I love to learn. I am constantly reading and researching, consuming several books and podcasts every month.
What do you love to do outside of work?
My husband and son are both talented performers, and I love supporting their productions as a stage wife and mom and being their biggest fan. They are also the taste-testers for my baking hobby.
What would you be doing if you weren’t working for Aspiriant?
I would be traveling. I love exploring new places. My bucket list includes seeing the seven natural wonders of the world, and my son wants to take me to Japan.
What was the most influential book you’ve read and why?
“Solve for Happy” by Mo Gawdat was a transformative read for me, and I still keep a “happy journal” and practice some of the approaches today. It was the first time I encountered the concept that “you are not your thoughts,” and how that impacts our well-being.
