Meet Mindy

What do you enjoy most about wealth management?

I often find the most enjoyable moments to be when I’m speaking to my clients about their dreams and their vision for their legacy.

What’s the biggest challenge?

In today’s over-digitized world of immediate gratification, patience is the biggest challenge. Too often, our desire to have it all now clouds judgement and sets expectations that cannot be realized.

What do you love most about being part of Aspiriant?

Aspiriant is more than a team, it’s a community all working together to help our clients set their goals and realize them.

What quality of yours makes you best suited to what you do?

I listen. Like many of my clients, I’m dealing with growing children, aging parents, enjoying life and fulfilling my own legacy. That understanding and empathy helps me in providing both counsel and perspective when managing my clients’ wealth.

How should people think about their wealth?

My father always told me, “It’s nice to have options.” So, to me, wealth represents those greater options and helps me with the 3Ls: living, loving and legacy.

What do you love to do outside of work?

I love spending time with my family — my husband, two kids and our dog — as well as spending time in my community volunteering at my children’s school and family synagogue.

What would you be doing if you weren’t working for Aspiriant?

If I were not at Aspiriant, I would be in LA’s public education system, working to support the homeless students in our schools.

What was the most influential book you’ve read and why?

“Dare to Lead,” by Brene Brown. Her advice transcends the boardroom into the family room, all the more relevant as our professional and personal lives become one.

What personal accomplishments are you most proud of?

As president of the local school’s booster efforts, I was able to positively impact the giving culture of the community, increasing monies raised to $1 million a year and gaining 100% participation. These efforts provide for art, music, physical education, teaching assistants, a librarian and more.
