Lydia Walz CFP®

Manager – Wealth Management

Meet Lydia

What do you enjoy most about wealth management?

The most poignant moments are when the client achieves a major goal. It is such a joy to root for clients and celebrate their wins.

What's the biggest challenge?

Ensuring the client stays focused on the long-term plan rather than the immediate future. It is the nature of many of our clients to doggedly chase a particular goal.

What do you love most about being part of Aspiriant?

The breadth of the team. Having this many advisors working together, not just next to each other but collaboratively, is unique in the industry. I enjoy pulling from their deep levels of expertise and skills.

How should people think about their wealth?

Wealth is a form of expression. There is no ‘should’ in how each client may wield their wealth, but we often help clients who are seeking greater intentionality.

What do you love to do outside of work?

Travel. Friends often joke that I can always name which flights I have coming up in the next six months. Some of my bucket list trips include Korea, Kenya, and Patagonia!

What would you be doing if you weren't working for Aspiriant?

Working in development for a nonprofit focused on homelessness.

What personal accomplishments are you most proud of?

Moving to a new city and developing many friendships and connections while still maintaining previous relationships. I am proud that I have both roots and wings.
