Gina Willkomm CFP®

Senior Associate in Wealth Management

Meet Gina

What do you enjoy most about wealth management?

I love working closely with people and helping them make decisions they feel confident in. In a world filled with endless choices, it's incredibly fulfilling to see someone develop a clear strategy that reflects their personal goals—and then take action in a way that encourages meaningful growth. Helping clients gain clarity and confidence is what drives me.

What's the biggest challenge?

Our industry is full of what I call "advisor speak"—jargon and technical terms that can feel second nature to us but may be overwhelming or confusing to someone without an investment background. I always try to stay mindful of this and take the time to explain concepts in a way that feels approachable and clear. Good financial advice should feel empowering, not intimidating.

What do you love most about being part of Aspiriant?

I truly value the “One Unified Team” mindset we have at Aspiriant. Our colleagues come from diverse backgrounds, many with deep expertise in specialized areas. It’s an incredible environment where we support each other, collaborate openly and draw on each other’s strengths to better serve our clients. I love being both a resource and a recipient of that kind of support.

What professional accomplishments are you most proud of?

I’m most proud of my ability to listen deeply and continuously learn. I consider myself a lifelong learner, both personally and professionally. That mindset helps me grow, stay curious and better serve my clients in a constantly evolving financial landscape.

What quality of yours makes you best suited to what you do?

I'm a natural helper. I genuinely enjoy guiding people through complex situations and helping them find clarity and confidence. That mindset is at the heart of the work I do every day.

How should people think about their wealth?

Wealth comes in many forms, not just financial. True wealth can mean having dinner with your kids, taking a peaceful walk in the morning or volunteering for a cause you care about. While financial security is important, I find the clients often experience the most fulfillment in aligning their resources with what they value most. My goal is to help them maximize what "true wealth" means to them.

What do you love to do outside of work?

Spending time with my family, especially outdoors, brings me so much joy. I'm a true water baby—I love swimming, paddleboarding, exploring waterfalls and even wakeboarding when I get the chance. Nature is my happy place.

What would you be doing if you weren't working for Aspiriant?

I’d likely be working for another independent, fiduciary-first wealth management firm, still helping clients make thoughtful financial decisions and pursue their goals with intention and clarity.
