Among the things I am most proud of are: The relationships that I’ve forged with my clients and the fact that they place their trust in me The opportunities I’ve had over time to help mold, counsel and mentor young professionals as they’ve embarked on their careers in this field

A commitment to providing unsurpassed services to all clients, combined with a naturally empathetic and curious nature.
How should people think about their wealth?
That it is a journey, where achieving long-term goals should guide all decisions.
What do you love to do outside of work?
I love to travel with my wife, with whom I also love to cook, and entertain friends and family. It brings us great joy to create a venue for loved ones to gather.
What would you be doing if you weren't working for Aspiriant?
This is difficult to say, but a part of me could see myself as a professional chef, perhaps. Cooking is a real passion of mine.
Bio
Mike joined Aspiriant in 2022 via a merger with Murray, Stok & Company and serves as a Director of Tax Services. He has over 25 years of experience within the financial services industry, providing high net-worth individuals and closely held businesses with tax and consulting services.
Prior to joining Aspiriant, Mike was a partner at Murray, Stok & Company, a boutique tax and accounting services firm located in San Francisco. Mike started his career in the Tax department at Arthur Andersen & Co., also in San Francisco.
Mike earned a B.A. degree in Business Economics, with Accounting Emphasis, from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Mike sits on the board of directors of the Alexander Valley Film Society, an arts and education-focused non-profit based in northern Sonoma County.
Mike and his wife, Debra, reside in Oakland and enjoy getting away to their wine country retreat in Cloverdale, Calif., as often as possible.
