What do you enjoy most about wealth management?

Solving problems while putting the client's mind at ease.

What’s the biggest challenge?

The volume of information. Clients can become overwhelmed easily with all the data available.

What do you love most about being part of Aspiriant?

Being independent and objective in serving clients. Our clients' interests come first.

What professional accomplishments are you most proud of?

Attaining my CFP® designation in 1997.

What quality of yours makes you best suited to do what you do?

My ability to present the complex aspects of investment advice clearly and concisely, so clients can make more informed investment decisions.

How should people think about their wealth?

Wealth is a privilege, not a right. It should be preserved and protected as such.

What do you love to do outside of work?

Play soccer and coach youth teams.

What would you be doing if you weren’t at Aspiriant?

Coaching youth sports.

What personal accomplishments are you most proud of?

Being named a Director at Deloitte & Touche in 2008. Becoming Treasurer of Habitat for Humanity-Cincinnati in 2012.

What’s the most influential book you’ve read?

"The Good War" by Studs Terkel, about how WWII not only changed governments and economies, but changed the lives of millions of individuals all over the globe.

Bio

Paul has been providing investment advisory and wealth management services to high net worth families, closely-held business owners, and non-for-profit organizations since 1988. He is one of the principals of Aspiriant, since joining the firm in 2010 as a result of the acquisition of Deloitte Investment Advisors. Paul is the practice leader of Aspiriant’s Cincinnati office. He has also served on Aspiriant’s Management Committee and Investment Committee.

Prior to Aspiriant, Paul joined Deloitte Investment Advisors in 1997, where he was a Director and Team Leader for the Cincinnati office since 2005.

Paul earned a B.A. in Economics and History from Miami University and an M.B.A. from Xavier University in Cincinnati. He is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional (CFP®) and he is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA). Paul is also a board member and Treasurer of Habitat for Humanity – Cincinnati.

Paul and his wife, Deanna, live in Cincinnati with their two children. In his free time, he enjoys coaching and playing soccer and spending time with his family.
