What do you enjoy most about wealth management?
Developing close relationships with clients while helping them solve problems.
What’s the biggest challenge?
Anticipating a client’s problems and solving them before they materialize.
What do you love most about being part of Aspiriant?
Working with a great group of people to serve our clients.
What professional accomplishments are you most proud of?
Earning the CFA charter.
What quality of yours makes you best suited to do what you do?
My persistence and attention to detail.
How should people think about their wealth?
Strategically and intentionally. We encourage clients to take a big-picture view of their wealth. While wealth can be helpful, it can also be harmful. Leaving a large sum to someone isn’t always the best answer. We challenge clients to be intentional with their giving and wealth transfer and think about their legacy — What is the legacy they want to leave? Who do they want to influence and how?
What do you love to do outside of work?
Spend time with my family and friends, spend time outdoors, be physically active.
What would you be doing if you weren’t at Aspiriant?
Something that combines being physically active and being in nature. Maybe some kind of adventure guide.
I’ve spent my entire adult working life helping people accomplish their financial goals.
What’s the most influential book you’ve read?
“The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People,” by Stephen Covey, taught me how to concentrate on the things that matter most to me.
