In this episode of Money Tales, our guest is Janine Quijije. Janine became a single mom at a young age in a community of immigrants, going through the motions and not striving for more. All that changed when Janine looked down at her five year-old daughter’s face and realized she needed to create something different for her daughter. Janine got curious and set out to create her own career path, dodging obstacles of judgement along the way.
Janine is the Chief Advancement Officer for Communities In Schools®(CIS™), the national organization that ensures every student, regardless of race, zip code or socioeconomic background has what they need to realize their potential in school and beyond. In her role, she oversees the fundraising, marketing and communications, and new business development functions for the organization. Janine has more than 15 years of experience in nonprofit development and executive leadership and has a successful track record of designing and implementing fundraising and engagement strategies across campaigns and revenue streams.
