In this episode of Money Tales, our guest is Celeste Villalobos Tahamont. Celeste is navigating the intricate tapestry of both motherhood and daughterhood. She shares how she’s juggling her responsibilities that range from managing a bustling household with her own young family, building out her business as a solopreneur and helping her aging parents. As she grapples with decisions that shape her present and also impact her future, Celeste leans on the strength of family bonds, especially her confidante and partner-in-crime, her sister.
With an eye toward social justice, Celeste started her career as a public-school educator working with at-risk youth to help them be the first in their families to attend college. From 2006-2016, she designed, facilitated and managed various leadership programs for executives and their teams at Google.
In 2016, Celeste launched Little Owl Consulting and continues to help clients around the globe and in a variety of environments ranging from nonprofit to corporate. She is an expert at holding space for fear, pain and complexity, so that courage and clarity can emerge, and folks can get back to working productively.
Celeste received her B.A. in Gender & Multicultural Studies from University of California, Santa Cruz and her Ed.M. in Gender & Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She now lives in San Francisco, where she enjoys adventuring around the city with her two sons and husband.
