In this episode of Money Tales, our guest is AdaPia d’Errico. All long-term investors lose money at some point, usually due to market fluctuations. Many years ago, AdaPia, who worked in finance, lost her entire life savings when she was defrauded by a private placement she invested in. As she tells us, even though she was the victim, she positioned herself as the perpetrator in her mind at the time. AdaPia blamed herself because, with her background, she thought she should have known better. The shame she felt kept AdaPia from wanting to talk about the experience. But when she ultimately got over that, it transformed her life and her purpose.

AdaPia is a visionary pioneer with over 20 years of experience in the financial industry spanning banking, insurance, hedge funds, private equity, real estate, angel investing, venture capital, and digital assets. As a fintech entrepreneur, AdaPia played a pivotal role in bringing real estate crowdfunding and online capital raising into the mainstream. Today, AdaPia is the CEO of Funke Ventures, which develops and invests in emerging technologies and intellectual properties with impact-driven economic models built on the ethos of Web3. AdaPia is also the cofounder of Womxn of Wealth, a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to moving women at all socio-economic levels from financial literacy, to fluency, to mastery.
