What professional accomplishment are you most proud of?
As a Principal of Stanford Investment Group and member of its second-generation management team, I’m proud to have built a successful advisory firm in Silicon Valley and combined it with Aspiriant.
What quality of yours makes you best suited to what you do?
I can be both a leader and a follower, anticipating the needs of the organization in both capacities. I’m also team-oriented and have a sense of humor that serves as an equalizer.
What do you love to do outside of work?
Spend time with my husband, family and friends, and get to know my neighbors.
What would you be doing if you weren't working at Aspiriant?
Mentoring the third generation of professionals at Stanford Investment Group.
What was the most influential book you've read and why?
“The Road to Character,” David Brooks — The book is about balancing the scales between our résumé virtues and our eulogy virtues and focusing on what kind of relationships we have formed.
What personal accomplishment are you most proud of?
Commitment to community — Helping to raise funds for, design and build a playground, and working on other projects. Commitment to family — Along with my husband, nurturing, mentoring and supporting our family. Commitment to self — Continuing to stay grounded and enjoy the journey.
Bio
With 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, Lisa is an invaluable resource. She comes in every day with two goals in mind – serve clients and move the company forward.
Lisa joined Aspiriant in 2017 with Stanford Investment Group. She shouldered many responsibilities as one of the principals and leaders of SIG. In her role as Chief Financial Officer, she oversaw financial operations, internal controls and Human Resources. As Chief Compliance Officer, she ensured that the company adhered to its high ethical standards. She implemented policies designed to make sure all employees upheld SIG’s fiduciary obligation to act solely in the best interest of clients.
Lisa earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California State University, Fresno. She is a member of The National Society of Compliance Professionals.
