Bret currently serves as the Chief Practice Officer for Aspiriant where he has responsibility for running all client service lines across the country encompassing service delivery, client growth, growth of people and optimal resource allocation. Prior to this, he served as the Chief Financial Officer where his responsibilities included developing strategies that integrated the disciplines of finance, tax, treasury management, and administration for the firm. Since 1985, he has been working with financial services firms that focus on attending to the needs of high net-worth individuals and families.
Prior to joining Aspiriant, Bret served as the President and Chief Personal Financial Officer for Sasco/Roxford One; Chief Financial Officer for Andell Holdings; Managing Director for the Saban Capital Group; Client Service Director and Vice President of Client Financial Operations for myCFO; Chief Financial Officer for The Bubble Factory; and Senior Manager for the business management division of Price Waterhouse.
Bret has served on the boards of several non-profit organizations, including the California State Summer School for the Arts, Los Angeles Neighborhood Land Trust, and Stand To Reason. He is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) in the State of California and holds an MBA from California State University and a BA in Business Administration from California Polytechnic State University.
