Always passionate about helping others achieve their financial goals, Aspiriant wealth managers offered free, unbiased advice at the annual Financial Planning Days in San Francisco and Marin County, California.
In San Francisco, Director Mike Fitzhugh and Associate Nick Ruzette of our San Francisco office and Director Talia Pierluissi and Senior Associate Archana Turaga from Silicon Valley joined approximately 30 other wealth planners in assisting more than 250 people with financial issues. And at the Marin Civic Center in San Rafael, Aspiriant’s Chief Client Officer Tom Tracy met with eight people at an event that served approximately 65.
The annual Financial Planning Day, presented by the San Francisco and Marin chapters of the Financial Planning Association, is open to the public and primarily serves people who cannot afford on-going professional advice. In addition to one-on-one planning sessions, participants attended workshops on estate planning, budgeting, college planning and other personal finance topics. Aspiriant was also a proud sponsor of the San Francisco event.
“The volunteers create a welcoming, open environment for people to ask questions and gain clarity,” said Talia, who co-chaired the San Francisco event at the San Francisco Public Library in October.
“This event not only allows planners to give back to the community, but it also provides a great opportunity to interact with peers and veterans of the industry,” added Archana.
The Marin event was held in early November. Tom, who has volunteered in the past, said it was a great day. “It’s always very rewarding to help people with challenging financial circumstances who truly need and value receiving objective advice that promotes sound financial decisions and helps them get to a better place.”
