What do you enjoy most about wealth management?

Providing clients with steady direction during life’s many challenges, building wealth for clients and their families, and making their financial lives easier and less time consuming.

Conveying the importance of a long-term investment strategy in a volatile, short-term result-driven industry.

My CPA designation. It helps me think objectively in all aspects of wealth planning.

What qualities of yours makes you best suited to d what you do?

I enjoy building relationships and making clients happy. My background as a CPA has taught me attention to detail.

How should people think about their wealth?

As something they have control over. With adequate planning, most reasonable goals can be accomplished.

What do you love to do outside of work?

Participating in outdoor activities like boating, fishing and hunting, traveling with my family, watching my children’s extracurriculars and volunteering at a number of local charities.

What would you be doing if you weren't working at Aspiriant?

Managing money for an institution or company

What personal accomplishments are you most proud of?

Being a devoted husband and father. Being in wealth management for over 20 years.

Bio

Brad has been providing investment and wealth advisory services to high net worth individuals and their families since 1998. He joined Aspiriant in 2010 as a result of the acquisition of Deloitte Investment Advisors. Brad is the team leader of the Minneapolis office and a principal in the firm. In addition, he serves on the Aspiriant Business Development Committee.

As an investment advisor, Brad has successfully implemented a process and systems-oriented investment plan and structure for individuals, families and family offices. He works closely with clients to deliver wealth management services focused on the implementation of an investment process and program that includes asset allocation, cash management, assistance in the selection of managers, and the monitoring of portfolio performance.

Prior to Aspiriant, Brad worked at Deloitte Investment Advisors and was Practice Leader for the Minneapolis office since 2005. His career began in 1997 at the accounting firm Arthur Andersen LLP.

Brad graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1996 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance. Brad is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and has obtained his Series 63 and Series 65 certifications. He is a member of the AICPA and MNCPA. Brad also actively volunteers as a member of St. Philip the Deacon Lutheran Church.

Brad and his wife, Becky, live in Plymouth with their daughter Grace and son William. Brad enjoys spending time with his friends and family, and canoeing and fishing.
