What professional accomplishments are you most proud of?
Developing a diverse work force. Creating and managing a national human resources platform.
What qualities of yours makes you best suited to what you do?
My dedication to continuous improvement. My ability to focus on the needs of the employee and the firm.
What do you love to do outside of work?
Home improvement projects, backpacking, working out, spending time with my family and my dogs.
What would you be doing if you weren't working for Aspiriant?
I'd love to work with a charity and use my home improvement skills to improve the lives of people in need.
What was the most influential book you've read and why?
Twice Heroes by Tom Graves, about a time when Japanese Americans were not regarded as full citizens. It's important we remind ourselves of the past so history doesn't repeat itself.
What personal accomplishments are you most proud of?
Raising productive children. Rescuing both of my dogs.
Bio
Sherri is the Director of Human Resources and joined Aspiriant in 2003. She is responsible for all aspects of human resources including resource planning, recruiting, hiring, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and work environment. She has over 25 years of broad-based business experience in finance and human resources, and more than 16 years has been in the financial services industry. Sherri is also a member of the Aspiriant Managing Committee.
Prior to joining Aspiriant, Sherri was the Office Administrator for Cohen Primiani & Foster, a tax planning law firm in Los Angeles. Before that she was the Vice President of Finance for Gene Morgan Financial, a securities broker dealer.
