What quality of yours makes you best suited to what you do?
My ability to aggregate data, plan and diagram complex family structures to create visuals that help families and their advisory teams make good decisions.
How should people think about their wealth?
Think about wealth as a means to make an impact. Whether that impact is on your own personal lives, your family, or to make a bigger difference in your community or the world, it’s up to you to direct your wealth to where it brings the most aliveness.
What do you love to do outside of work?
Write books and TV shows, workout, coach others and travel with family.
What would you be doing if you weren’t working for Aspiriant?
Coaching others to achieve more prosperous and thriving lives.
What was the most influential book you’ve read and why?
“Science of Survival,” by L. Ron Hubbard, because I gained a deeper understanding of how humans work and how to gain control over my environment to live happier and freer.

My second-degree black belt in Shotokan Karate and writing over 10 books.

Angie Grainger joined Aspiriant as a director in wealth management. She has over 20 years of experience within the financial services industry and serving high net-worth individuals, business owners and families.
Prior to joining the firm, Angie spent 10 years helping business owners in her own CPA firm focusing on advanced tax strategies and business consulting. Angie started her career as a CPA at Moss Adams, LLP and moved to Vice-President of Financial Planning at Exchange Bank’s Wealth Management department.
Angie holds one of the top credentials in the financial advisory that is exclusive to licensed CPAs; the CPA-Personal Financial Specialist. She also holds a Certified Financial Planner® credential and has earned highest honors with both her BS in Accounting and her Masters in Tax and Financial Planning at Golden Gate University.
She is the former Chair of the CalCPA Financial Planning Committee and the CalCPA Financial Literacy committee and was instrumental in leading the California Financial Literacy Campaign reaching tens of thousands of students. Angie traveled internationally and was part of the ‘digital-nomad’ movement of live-working anywhere in the world. In her fun time, she is a martial artist and a writer.
