Jason Kiss CFP®, CAIA, CFA®

Director in Wealth Management, Partner

Meet Jason

What do you enjoy most about wealth management?

Helping families and individuals define their goals for their wealth and guiding them through the ever-changing financial environment.

What's the biggest challenge?

Client families are composed of members with diverse attitudes and ideas. Some are more hardy than others when dealing with the trials of investing.

What quality of yours makes you best suited to what you do?

My communication skills, both as educator and listener.

How should people think about their wealth?

People should think about what their wealth is doing for them and others now and in the future. That’s more important than whether their bottom line is larger this quarter than last.

What do you love to do outside of work?

Much of my life outside of work revolves around my three children – soccer games, swim meets, skiing. When we can, my wife and I love to take advantage of living so close to wine country.

What would you be doing if you weren't working for Aspiriant?

Teaching – I love seeing people’s faces light up when they understand new ideas.

What was the most influential book you've read and why?

I read many classics. I’m constantly struck by how the discussion of what it means to be human recurs in so many different forms and styles.

What personal accomplishments are you most proud of?

I’m most proud of the grown individuals I can see my children maturing into.
